Fab Lab:Day 1

Today we learned about interfaces in our lives. Almost everyhting we use in electronics has an interface that can control a two dimensional surface or a three dimensional surface. Two dimensions is easy, for example, a computer mouse uses a two dimensional surface to move around on. A Wii remote on the other hand uses a three dimensional plane. That then led into the day progressing on into trying to get a Wii remote, which uses infrared sensors, to work on a computer screen. We were sucessful and we could use the Wii remote to control our computer like we would with a mouse. Sadly our computer decided to be un-cooperative and we couldn’t get it to work again. That then concluded our day.
