Day 2: Squigglebot

Yesterday, after we posted in our blogs, we did projects that we didn’t get to blog about.  Today, we have a chance to write about our experience yesterday.

We got to create a robot yesterday: the Squigglebot.  We had a light up fan and four markers, so we cut off three blades of the fan (to make it lopsided) and strapped the markers to each corner, in the shape of a table. The result was a robot that drew wobbly lines on a large piece of paper.  We called it Squigglebot.  This bot is the concept behind a brush bot, a smaller version using a toothbrush and a pager motor.  The Squigglebot was an excellent robot that showed that robots do not have to be complex.
