Introducing the XYZ 3D Lab!

We are excited to announce the opening of our new XYZ 3D Lab with 15 new XYZ Da Vinci 3D Printers.  Thanks in large part to the XYZ team in San Diego, we are the first educational space to offer a 1 to 1 printer/student ratio for our 3D printer class series.   This means everyone in our 3D printer classes will have hands on time with a printer, and walk home with something they printed.  This will definitely change the level impact our courses have.

The machines are already being put to good use.  During our monthly 3D Printer Meetup on April 15th, we had over 30 attendees to our new version of the Meetup, where everyone who wanted to print something had the chance to take them for a spin.  With some help from XYZ 3D designer Austin Allen, we gave our newest guests a chance to load, calibrate, and run their own printer.

An added bonus to this sponsorship is our new ability to provide a free 3D printer class during our Monthly Meetup to all newcomers.  Anyone who wants to get their hands on a 3D printer and take home a print by the end of the night can do so the third Wednesday of every month at our Makers Quarter location.

The print farm will also be available during non class time to our members and special projects.  With this many machines available, you can expect at least one printer will be open.  We can’t wait to see what we build together.
