Fab Lab SD announces new Innovation Center

Fab Lab San Diego and Ansir Innovation Center are partnering to launch a new community space and innovation lab. We are currently in the process of clearing out a large space in Kearny Mesa in order to make room for a community work space and to get the tile and new walls in place.

We would like to engage our community in this new space, and show you what we are up to, as we are very excited to be able to host a new resource for San Diego.

Join us on Sunday February 17th from 11:00AM to 5:00PM for our new space work party!

Stay tuned for upcoming volunteer opportunities! we’ll host more work parties in late February and March 2013.

Lunch and hydration will be provided.

All level of skills are welcome, we appreciate the help! No need to call first, just show up. We will be clearing the space, making an inventory of materials, getting machines set up, and other light to moderate activities. We will be there rain or shine!

What to bring:

• work gloves
• protective eye gear
• dust mask
• protective shoes and clothing that can get dusty
• (if you don’t have these things, equipment will be provided)
