Hello my name is Freddie. I’m going into 6th grade. I’m working on programming arduinos and building circuits. In my PM class I am in industrial design.

Ultrasonic Range Finder

The very purpose of the ultrasonic range finder is to tell how far it is from the objects, but I want mine to have personality by using if else statements to make it say things. The ultrasonic range finder works by shooting sound waves at a frequency that humans can’t hear  and then hears it when it comes back and calculates how far the object is form the ultrasonic range finder. Here is the link to My ultrasonic range finder arduino code. I also have several other codes for several other things like leds that synchronize themselves with audio and six blinking leds like a Vegas sign.

I have built and programmed an ultrasonic range finder and am at the moment making it type things based on how far it is from objects. By now I have successfully made this circuit complete. Part of me feels excited for tomorrow,  the other part feels very nervous.

First in the class I learned about circuits hardware. We used jumpers which conducted electricity without any resistance. Then resistors which conducted electricity and also, unlike the jumpers caused a drop in voltage to avoid burning out our led. Led  stands for light emmiting diode which produces light and in order to work has to have its two legs in a certain direction or else it wont conduct the electricity or emit light. There are also less needed and because of that less used things that are known simply as diodes which do the same thing as jumpers but can only work one way.

First I learned about ints which are basically variables form 32,000 to -32,000 in coding every time you use a variable you must declare it on top . beyond the top there is a void setup where you declare pins. Then you put the void loop where you put the things in the serial monitor as well as if statements and where you actually turns leds or numbers on or off.

In my pm class I have started using tinkercad and have made trophies and people. I have mastered adobe illustrator drawing and have draw a disneyland skyline and business cards. I have also done a few minor projects in Sketchup. I am currently making a Sydney Opera house

Adobe Illustrator Freddie These are my 2-d projects from adobe illustrator where I started before I went into tinkercad and the rest of my 3-d projects. The one directly below is a nametag we made, we didnt take much time to build it but I really like how it came out. The next was the hardest project you can read about it on my favorites page. The next one was my buisness cards they were fun to design and I liked putting jokes in them it was a close second to the favorite 2-d drawing crown.

Freddie Tinkercad Hello my name is Freddie I have been going to the industrial design class for the past 3 weeks here are some 3-D drawings. The one in the top left was my first and most basic drawing of a building. the nxt building to its right was my quickest and most recent building but because it was quick it was quite basic, it is supposed to be a apple phone stand. the next is my first draft of my trophy and I feel that it was very good for only my second drawing. My next is my favorite for more info go to the other Freddie page. The Sydney Opera was for a project and even though my partners version was chosen I am still very proud that I managed to remember the processs of making the shells and then making them hollow and then arranging them just right, not to mention it took the longest and was the hardest of all my work, not to say I don’t love the rest of these projects.

Hello my name is Freddie I have been working in tinkercad for the past two weeks but out of all of my drawings this one is my favorite. It is a trophy, its first draft was featured in my other page and I am also proud of it but due to more experience and knowledge at the time of building this I feel that this is the superior of the two. If you read my other page then you will see that I stated that the hardest project was the Sydney Opera house and I like that project a lot but for some reason this one I prefer I guess because I made it look a little smoother and that I put together a good cup and a good person that I imported from adobe illustrator.

Adobe illustrator Freddie this is my favorite project I made in adobe illustrator. this is partially because I had all the tools I need seeing as it was my last 2-d project. It also was the longest 2-d I have worked on giving me more than enough time to finish and perfect it. I also was congragulated with my disney skyline and am quite proud of it. I also am quite proud of all four of mine I also think that its is fun to make something you wear.
