Kyto’s Portfolio

Hello, My name is Kyto, I am a student that is using the Fab Lab software or Fabrication Labratory I am going into 6 grade, The  project I am working on is an electronic bread board using software and hardware, and the outcome is a small device that shoots a high frequency sound that then bounces on a surface and comes back judging on how fast the sound comes back determines how far of a distance away the object was. Our final projects were a ultrasonic range finder and and a collage of lights that dance to the music.

In my other class we are working on interior design and modeling doing such by creating 3d models by using Adobe Illustrater, TinkerCad, and Sketchup. We have  started on making a 3d trophy using the 3d printer and TinkerCad software. We have also used a laser cutter which cuts acrylic into the shapes that you would like such as sunglasses, pendants, and also rings.  One thing in this class that we do is that we create 3d models of objects such as houses, animals, and other miscellaneous objects such as  small cube or square or cube which we transformed into some amazing things. The Project in the top left is the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain the reason I built this building was because it is an architectural landmark. The object in the right top corner is a trophy that we build when we learned how to create 3d printable objects. The centralized picture of a house was the first project that I did in TinkerCad an online 3d building software.

My favorite project through out the course was building the Guggenheim museum located in Bilbao, Spain which is known as an architectural building because of its complex and creative structure and design. When I was building it, when I finally finished one fourth of the building I knew that it was going to take forever but with assistance from my teacher Mr Gaffney I finally got the monstrous building near completion and looking good. This was one of the few partner projects we did but this was still a more independent project and we only combined our buildings at the very end.Adobe illustrator was a great 2d designing software which we used alot throught out this class. This was where we did are laser cuts, and where we imported tracing to TinkerCad.My favorite project was making the lazercut items like pendants, glasses, and rings. I had a fun time tracing and creatingthe objects but it was a long process. I had to the learn the complex side of all of the tools on the left side of Adobe Illustrator.
