Sameeran Das 8th grade Working on: programming Arduino and using a breadboard Hi, my name is Sameeran Das. I am advancing into eighth grade once the school year begins. I go to La Jolla Country Day School (LJCDS). In this three week class, I have learned about circuits, microprocessors, coding and properties of sound. The most complex project in the course was the ultrasonic range finder. The ultrasonic speaker attached to the Arduino Uno emitted a high frequency pulse. The pulse would travel until it came in contact with another physical object. Once they collide, the wave bounces back towards the speaker. The speaker calculates the distance between the two objects based on how long the wave was traveling. The class was fun because there were many “hands-on” projects. I will probably work with Arduino programming in the near future.
