My Fab Lab Experience

This summer at the fab lab, I learned a lot of things, especially when it came to applications such as Abode Illustrator. I had been using Illustrator for three years at my high school, but during these past few months I’ve learned about tools that I didn’t even know existed. Fab Lab expanded my knowledge of Illustrator and now it has become my favorite program to use. I think I’ve gotten a lot more creative with Illustrator and I hope that I will be able to use this creativity in my senior year of high school.

So far, in my high school career, we’ve only dealt with print materials such as brochures, folders and posters. This is the first time I’ve seen something that was created on the computer become 3D. I never really thought about how so many things can be made using a computer. The Fab Lab really expanded my perspective on how important technology really is.
