Structure team's task

In our structure team, Esteban told us to make an improvised presfit structure from a 12″ by 12″ wood. Our goal was to make it as tall as we could within the time we were given.

This was a new challenge to me because I wasn’t quite sure how to measure quickly in Adobe Illustrator. Obviously, It was essential to make my measurements precise in order for it to be a “presfit”. I did fine with all of my measurements, except for the top square. As you can see, it doesn’t fit.

I tried my best to make something out of nothing, and it felt like I was going to finish in days. But the result wasn’t so bad. Esteban taught us how to work under pressure, and still get the job done. Additionally, he taught me how to use ruler guides to align and measure objects in Illustrator.

This presfit was the most thrilling, and stressful task that I have done so far in this internship. I feel like I am learning more and more useful things everytime our supervisors gives us a task. I have never learned anything at such an exponential rate, as I am now. I hope that I can input this new learning experience to cope with any future assignments that require the focus, pace, and effort needed as in this task.
