UCSD Trip- LJCDS Steam Program 2012- Jaron Fabular

Today we went to UCSD to learn about the campus there, and to also see the tools they use for fabricating different items using the 3D laser cutter and 3D printer. Some of the rooms we went into were the Black Box Theater- where they showed us different images on their high resolution screen- which was made of 8 computers, the Cave- where they make different 3D images, and the Auditorium-where we watched different videos displaying the power of their 4k projector. There were also many different landmarks there- such as the “Trees”- “Dorothy’s House”- and the picture here is of the a rock formation they made called the “Bear”. My favorite part during the trip was the Cave- where nearly everything was 3D. It was mind blowing.
